A PRAYER WHEN YOU CAN’T FIND THE WAY

A PRAYER WHEN YOU CAN’T FIND THE WAY

Like the woman with the issue of blood who had spent twelve
good years searching to the disease that have taken over her entire body and made her crooked. She would have spent all her entire fortune looking for cure in the wrong places. Spending all her money and the doctors where busy collecting them from her even though they knew they could not heal her. She lost all hope of ever recovering until she met Dr. Jesus. All she had to pay was to believe. “If I could only touch the helm of HIS garment I know I will be cured”, was the only though that inhabited her mind, soul and body. Though the crowd kept pushing her away, she kept on pressing, she kept on pushing until she was able to touch the “garment” of CHRIST JESUS, not HIS hand, not HIS leg or any other part of HIS body, but HIS garment, and then she was healed. Just by paying a price of faith, she became totally healed.
Are you going through a storm in your life and road ahead, and around you seems close and there is no way out? Render this prayer with faith.

A PRAYER WHEN YOU CAN’T FIND THE WAY

You keep me safe, LORD GOD. So, when I pray at night, please listen
carefully to each of my concerns. I am deeply trouble and close to
death; I am as good as death and completely helpless. I am no better
off than those in the grave, those you have forgotten and no longer
help.

You have put me in the deepest and darkest grave; your anger roll
over me like ocean waves. You have made my friend turn in horror
before me. I am a prisoner who cannot escape, and I am almost blind
because of my sorrow.

Each day I lift my hands in prayer to you, LORD. Do you work miracles
for the dead? Do they stand up and praise you? Are your love and loyalty
announced in the world of the dead? Do they know of your miracles and
your saving power in the dark world below where all is forgotten? Each
morning I pray to you, LORD. Why do you reject me? Why do you turn
from me? Ever since I was a child, I have been sick and close to death.
You have terrified me and make me helpless. Your ager is like a flood and
I am shattered by your furious attacks that strike each day and from every
side . My friends and neighbors have turned against me because of you,
and now darkness is my only companion.

As you made a way in the Red Sea for the Israelites to pass through, make
a way for me. As you made a way for Matthew to become one of your
beloved disciples, make a way for me. As you made a way for David to defeat
Goliath, make a way for me. As you made a way for Paul and Silas to be set
Free from prison, make a way for me, that the world may know that you are

the LORD that makes a way where there seems to be none. Amen.

16 THINGS WE MUST BELIEVE, ACCEPT AND DO AT ALL TIMES AS BELIEVERS

16 THINGS WE MUST BELIEVE, ACCEPT AND DO AT ALL TIMES AS BELIEVERS

1.            Happiness is like a kiss. In order to get any good out of it,
you have to give it to someone else. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
2.            The failure to stand for what is morally right is the prelude to be a victim of what is criminally wrong. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
3.            Love the unlovable and give hope to the hopeless, friendship to the friendless, and encouragement to the discouraged. A man who has friends must himself be friendly.
4.            Be pleasant to the grouch, courteous to the rude, and generous to the needy because you know the long-term benefits of receiving. Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.
5.            Recognize, confess, develop, and use your GOD-given physical, mental, and spiritual abilities to the glory of GOD and for the benefit of mankind. God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well.
6.            Love is not the basis for marriage; marriage is the basis for love. Being loved is the second best thing in the world; loving someone is the best. Love does not hold grudges and will hardly notice when others does it wrong.
7.            The ladder of success works like any other ladder. Very few have climbed it with their hands in their pockets. Hard work means prosperity; only a fool idles away his time.
8.            Productivity alone does not guarantee security. You must combine productivity with a consistent positive attitude and a team effort, whether you’re looking for a job or looking to keep the one you have. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
9.            It is far more important to be the right person than to marry the right kind of person. Rejoice with the wife of your youth.
10.          Sitting still and wishing makes no person great. The GOOD LORD sends the fishing, but you must dig the bait. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
11.          For good or ill, your conversation is your advertisement. Every time you open your mouth you let men look into your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
12.          As the earth revolves round the sun, so should our lives revolve round the SON.
13.          When you choose to be pleasant and positive in the way you treat others, you have also chosen, in most cases, how you are going to be treated by others. Do for others what you want them to do for you.
14.          As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the LORD forgave you.
15.          There has never been an undisciplined person who was a champion, regardless of the field of endeavor. Like a city whose walls are broken down, is a man who lacks self-control.

16.          Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny. Fix your thought on what is true, good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise GOD for and be glad about.

THINK BIG AND YOUR DEEDS WILL GROW

THINK BIG AND YOUR DEEDS WILL GROW

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win but you think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost.
For in this world you will surely find
Success being with a person’s will,
It’s all in the state of mind.
Think big and your deeds will grow.
Think small and you’ll fall behind.

Think that you can and you will,
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are,
You have to think big to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself,
Before you can win the prize.
Life’s battle don’t always go,
To the strongest woman or man,
But sooner or later the person who wins
Is the person who thinks he can!

A PRAYER IN TIMES OF SICKNESS

A PRAYER IN TIME OF SICKNESS

King Hezekiah felt seriously ill unto the point of death and he prayed to GOD.  The LORD answered him and added some more years to his days. Do you remember the stories of the woman with the issue of blood, the lame man by the pool of Bethsaida, blind Barthemaeus, the Shunammite woman, the centurion’s daughter, and many more were all healed or raised from the death through the power of GOD in CHRIST JESUS. Do you have any illness in your body that you have spent so much and is not going away, do you have any infirmities that is causing discomfort to your body, summon up courage with faith in GOD through CHRIST JESUS and render this prayer. Always remember that GOD has sent forth HIS WORD to heal all our diseases. Just believe that you are healed after rendering this prayer and never doubt and it shall be so.

A PRAYER IN TIME OF SICKNESS

You, LORD GOD, bless everyone who cares for the poor,
And you rescue those people in times of trouble. You
protect them and keep them alive. You make them happy
here in this land, and you don’t hand them over to their
enemies.

You always heal them and restore their strength when they
are sick. I prayed, “Have pity, LORD! Heal me, though I have
sinned against you.”

My vicious enemies ask me, “When will you die and be forgotten?

When visitors come, all they ever bring are worthless words, and
When they leave, they spread gossip.

My enemies whisper about me. They think the worst, and they say
“You have some fatal disease! You’ll never get well.”
My most trusted friend has turned against me, though he ate at my
table. Have pity LORD! Heal me, so I can pay them back. Then my
enemies won’t defeat me and I will know that you really care. You
have helped me because I am innocent, and you will always be close
to my side.

You the LORD GOD of Israel will be praised forever!
Amen and amen

THE STARTING PLACE OF CHANGE CHECKLIST

THE STARTING PLACE OF CHANGE CHECKLIST

Have you decided when you will start to change your life for the better?
Make the decision to start right now, do not delay further.
Have you carried out your own personal stock check?
Have you listed down all of the things you need to ensure your success?
Have you developed a plan and time schedule for the achievement of your goals?
THE STARTING PLACE OF CHANGE CHECKLIST

Making this important decision is the starting place of change.
Delaying this decision is to risk not starting at all.
It is essential for you to first review you, check:
·       Your health
·       Education
·       Knowledge
·       Experience
·       Qualifications
·       Strengths.
Make your plan.

Your plan is your route map to success, so plan to achieve each goal.
Now add vision and belief to your pattern for success.
Do not delay further, make your commitment now.
Add your intangibles to this list, your:
·       Friends
·       Loved ones
·       Hobbies
·       Interest
·       Opportunities
Allocate them a priority order and stick to this, come what may.
Allocate a time span for the achievement of each goal. Monitor your progress regularly. Only by looking back can you realize how far you have travelled.

THE OLD MAN AND DEATH

THE OLD MAN AND DEATH

An old laborer, bent double with age and toil, was gathering sticks in the forest. At last he grew tired and hopeless that he threw down the bundle of sticks, and cried out:
“I cannot bear this life any longer. Ah, I wish Death would only come and take me!”

As he spoke, Death, a grisly skeleton, appeared and said to him:
“What wouldst thou, Mortal? I heard thee call me.”
“Please, sir,” replied the woodcutter, “would you kindly help me to lift this faggot of sticks onto my shoulder?”

Let’s be careful what we ask and confess, for we would often be sorry if our wishes were gratified. Remember never too say before God that it was a joke, because it would be accounted as sin unto you. God does not joke.

THE UNCOMMON THOUGHT CREATES THE UNCOMMON MAN

THE UNCOMMON THOUGHT CREATES THE UNCOMMON MAN

To be great it is necessary to think the uncommon thoughts, to do the uncommon things and to go after the uncommon goals.
THE UNCOMMON THOUGHT CREATES THE UNCOMMON MAN

ROLO MAY

Rolo May, the great Psychologist and Author of Man’s search for himself, said, “The opposite of courage is not cowardice but rather conformity.” Conformity is people acting like everyone else without knowing where they are going and why. We dissolve into the mainstream rather than choosing to be different. We tend to go with the flow rather than directing the flow.

PRESIDENT THEODORE ROOSEVELT

President Theodore Roosevelt had a common philosophy, which made him stand out from the crowd. He said, “I choose not to be a common man. Me, it’s my right to be uncommon if I can. I’ll seek opportunity, not security. I do not wish to be kept citizen humbled and dulled by after the state looked after me.. I want to take the calculated risk, to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed. I’ll refuse to live from hand to mouth. I’ll prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence, the thrill of fulfillment to the state calm of utopia.  I will never cower before any master nor bend to any friend. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud, and unafraid,, to think and act for myself and face the world boldly and say, “This I have done.”

As Frank Sinatra said in one of his songs, “I did it my own way!” Folks, I say to you, do it your way! Think uncommon thoughts, do uncommon things, and, as Henry David Thoreau said, “ If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavor to live the live which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in uncommon hours.”

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN USE YOUR ABILITY. IT IS AN AWESOME RESPONSIBILITY

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN USE YOUR ABILITY. IT IS AN AWESOME RESPONSIBILITY

Around the turn of the century near the town of Beaumont, Texas, a landowner was forced to sell portioned of his land to feed his family. Then an oil company told him there could be oil on his property and offered to pay him royalties if he would permit them to drill. The landowner agreed, because he had nothing to lose.

When the well came in, it destroyed the wooden derrick, creating an enormous excitement. Before they could cap the well, several hundred thousands of oil had pumped out. That was the discovery of “Spindletop,” the most productive single oil well in history.

The landowner became an instant multimillionaire, or did he? The answer is really “no.” You see, he’d been a millionaire ever since he had own his property. Unfortunately, he had no knowledge of that fact and consequently did not capitalize on it.

It is my personal conviction that inside all of us, there is incredible ability and talent, much of which is never recognized and used. My suggestion is simple: Get acquainted with yourself. Recognize, develop, and use what you’ve got. Who knows maybe there is a ”Spindletop” underneath. You’ve certainly got nothing to lose by doing a little drilling and exploring. Who knows what might come to the surface, you’ve got nothing to lose.

AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART

AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART

AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEARTWhen you look in the mirror, you see a face that you have known all your life. You see a person that you intimately connect with. You see you! But it is not the real you, the true you. The real you is on the inside, the inner person. And that inner person is directly responsible for the outer you and the things you do or don’t do. As a man thinketh in his heart, his core, his true being, so he is! The inner you is the core you. Just as the heart of the artichoke is the prime part, your core is your best part. The core of the apple is the most important part because after all is said and done, the core the seeds that are the future of that apple. If you cut an apple in half, you could count the seeds in that apple. But you can’t count the future apples that are in those seeds.

The center, the core, of the pineapple is where the sweetest fruit is found. The same is true for us. The heart is the core, where our most intense thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are found. If you can tap into that inner person and tap into the thoughts and feelings that are found there, then you can begin to tap into your “true thoughts, dreams, beliefs, and values,” These are the things that make you act on your own desires. These are the things that guide, direct, determine, and create how you live your life. This is where you determine what you will and will not do, what you go after and what you choose to ignore, what you attempt and what you shy away from. As a man thinketh in his heart, in his core, his inner man, so he is. The core, the center, the heart is the real you.

WHERE THERE IS A VISION, THE PEOPLE FLOURISH

WHERE THERE IS A VISION, THE PEOPLE FLOURISH

Dreams do not come out of the blues, but rather from the mind of God. God matches the dream with the dreamer, someone who will receive it, respect it, embrace it, claim it, live for it, and be willing to die for it. God has given o us one of HIS greatest gifts, a dream. Yet it is up to us to receive it and let it grow, or to reject it and kill it. Learn from these people.

WHERE THERE IS A VISION, THE PEOPLE FLOURISH

JESSE OWENS

Jesse Owens was a world-class athlete who was told that because he was African American there was no way he could compete on the same level as the German, Aryan athletes of Nazi Germany. Hitler came to the games but refuse to greet this black athlete from the United States. What Hitler did not know was that Jesse Owens was a skilled athlete who had prepared himself, but, more importantly, he was armed with a dream and great faith. The 1936 Olympics were held in Berlin. The Nazi athletes were cheered while Jesse Owens and other Americans athletes were booed. Jesse did not worry about the boos or the snub from Hitler. He just concentrated on his dream. He continued to dream even after a “foot fault” three times. He mixed his dream with his faith and on his final attempt he jumped and won! He walked away from those Olympics with four gold medals, ne for every event he participated in. A dream mixed with faith, confidence, and determination will always change your destiny.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGER

As a young man growing up in Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger made up his mind that he was going to do some incredible things with his life. He made up his mind and set a goal to be the greatest body builder of all time. Many thought Arnold was crazy and some concluded he would eventually give up, because it would take a great deal of time and commitment. The figured he would give up and get over that silly notion, and get a “real job”. He the added another aspect to his dream, he not only wanted to become the world’s greatest body builder, but he also wanted to become a movie star and an international fitness guru. His friend said, “What a crazy dream!” He wrote his dream down on a note card and carried it around in his wallet and made a contract with himself that he would achieve this goal. He said it was this contract with himself that drove him, forced him, go to America and start the climb to become Mr. Olympia. He went on to become one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood and the chairman of the president’s committee for Physical Fitness. He also became a Governor in one of the American states.

IF YOU GIVE UP WHEN IT’S WINTER,

IF YOU GIVE UP WHEN IT’S WINTER, YOU WILL MISS THE PROMISE OF YOUR SPRING

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his son to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a peer tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, and the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.
The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms and smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing has had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with them all; he said that it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had seen but only one season in the tree’s life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come out from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it’s winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Don’t let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don’t judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.

BUTTERFLY AND COCOON

BUTTERFLY AND COCOON

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day, a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no further.

Then, the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because, he expected that, at any moment, the
wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling with a swollen body and a shriveled wing. It never was able to fly.

What this man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

This shows that sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If nature allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacle, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we would have been, and we could never fly.

LET’S BE WISE BUILDERS AND ROLE MODELS

LET’S BE WISE BUILDERS AND ROLE MODELS

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four
year old grandson.. The old man’s hand trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step fluttered. The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon to the ground. When he grasped, the glass milk spilled on the tablecloth.

LITTLE THINGS AFFECT LITTLE MIND

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess,
We must do something about grandfather,” said the son “I’ve had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.”
So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl. When the family glanced in Grandfather’s direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four year old watched it all in silence.

ARE YOU A WISE BUILDER AND A GOOD ROLE MODEL?

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wooden scraps on the floor.
He asked the child sweetly, “What are you making?”
Just as sweetly, the boy responded, “Oh I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food in when I grow up.”
The four year old smiled and went back to work. The words so struck the parents that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days, he ate every meal with the family. And for some reasons neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled or the table cloth soiled.

Children are remarkably perceptive. Their eyes ever observe, their ears ever listen, and their minds ever process the message they absorb. If they see us patiently provide a happy atmosphere for family members, they will imitate that attitude for the rest of their lives. The wise parent realizes that every day the building blocks are being laid for the child’s future. Let’s be wise builders and role models.

Life is about people connecting with people, and making a positive difference. Take care of yourself and those you love, today and everyday through that we will be wise builders and role models.

IF A CHILD LIVES WITH PRAISE, HE LEARNS TO APPRECIATE.

IF A CHILD LIVES WITH PRAISE, HE LEARNS TO APPRECIATE.

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn
When a child lives with praise

If a child with hostility, he learns violence

If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy

If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty

If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence

If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate

If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice

If a child lives with security, he learns faith

If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to love the world
                                                   -----Dorothy Law Nolte

When dealing with children, always meditate on these scriptural passages:

“Lo, children are the heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb, is his reward”
                                                                   Psalm 127: 3

“Correct your children before it’s too late; if you don’t punish them, you are destroying them”
                                                                   Proverbs 19 : 18

Children who curses their parents will go to the land of darkness, long before their time”
                                                                   Proverbs 20 : 20

“Don’t fail to correct your children,, you won’t kill them by being firm, and it may even save their lives”
                                                                   Proverbs 23 : 13

“Correct your children and they will be wise; children out of control disgrace their mother”
                                                                   Proverbs 29: 15

Parents do not provoke your children to anger”

A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE AND HELP

A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE AND HELP

Christ has promised to be a light unto our footpath, to lead us every step of the way in our journey through life if we allow HIM. Through HIS guidance, we will run and not be weary, we shall walk and never faint, we will mount up with wings as eagles. Moses refused to lead the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness unless GOD will go with them. You too can take that stand today. Ask for HIS guidance and HE will oblige.

A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE AND HELP

I offer you my heart, LORD GOD, and I trust you.
Don’t make me ashamed or let enemies defeat me.
Don’t disappoint any of your worshippers,
But disappoint all deceitful liars.
Show me your paths and teach me to follow you;
Guide me by your truth and instruct me.
You keep me safe and I always trust you.

Please, LORD, remember you have always be patient and kind.
Forget each wrong I did when I was young.
Show how truly kind you are and remember me.
You are honest and merciful, and you teach sinners how to
follow YOUR path.

You lead humble people to do what is right
And to stay on your path.
In everything you do, you are kind and faithful to everyone
who keeps our agreement with you.

Be true to YOUR NAME, LORD, by forgiving each one of my
terrible sins.
You will show the right path to all who worship you.
They will have plenty, and then their children will receive the land.

Our LORD, you are the friend of your worshippers, and you make an
agreement with all of us.
I always look to you, because you rescue me from every trap.
I am lonely and troubled. Show that you care and have pity on me.
My awful worries keep growing. Rescue me from sadness.
See my troubles and misery and forgive my sins.

Look at all my enemies! See how much they hate me.
I come to you for shelter. Protect me, keep me safe, and don’t
disappoint me.
I obey you with all my heart and I trust you, knowing that you will
save me.

Our GOD, please save me from all my troubles.
